This tapered cutting jig is designed for use on a saw bench, and it will allow you to accurately cut gentle tapers up to 15º. The jig is used against a table saw fence to allow you to cut workpieces at a desired angle, angles which were previously not safely possible when only using the fence or trying to cut freehand. The jig is held against the rip fence and opened and securely locked at the desired angle. The timber is then pushed up against the adjustable end stop on the jig and both the jig and workpiece are moved along the rip fence to create the required taper on the workpiece.
